Simply Expressive Drawing
This course will help you develop your own style of drawing.
Experiments will be made with a wide range of media: pencils/graphite, charcoal, white pastels for highlighting, fine liners, brushes and Indian ink, looking at still life and landscape subjects as inspiration. Far from botanical art, accuracy is not the aim, but ways of making our feeling and emotions communicate a creative response and appreciation of nature. Quality of line, dramatic tone and fascinating textures will be explored to convey this. Use of mixed media, printmaking and collage will be a feature, inspired by the historical and contemporary work of others. Learn to develop your inner artist in a friendly supportive group.
Suitable for beginners and improvers. All materials included.
