Tutor: Kat Ward

Kat Ward is an artist and educator from The New Forest. She has a BA (Hons) Degree in Fine Art, worked as a Visiting Tutor at The Arts University Bournemouth and delivered interactive tours and workshops for Southampton Arts and Heritage.

Her first photographs were taken with disposable 35mm film cameras and she still has a soft spot for their aesthetic, often incorporating light leaks, multiple exposures and other imperfections into her work. She’s hugely inspired by nature and enjoys combining her love of the outdoors with collage, printmaking and alternative photographic processes such as anthotype, cyanotype and lumen printing.

Currently, Kat teaches creative arts to adults and children at a range of venues, including Hampshire Libraries, while also working as a Forest School practitioner. A patient and supportive teacher, Kat is passionate about helping others embrace their creativity while benefiting health and wellbeing!
