Widely considered one of Shakespeare’s greatest tragedies, King Lear is the timeless and searing story of an aging monarch, a kingdom divided and a family in turmoil.

Lear’s decision to divide his kingdom among his three daughters ignites a storm of greed and betrayal. Displaced as king and cast out as patriarch, the declining Lear discovers the fragility of familial bonds and his own pride as he descends deeper and deeper into madness.

Shakespeare’s sublime poetry infuses this towering tragedy; a classic tale of family, love, loss and mortality.’
