Martin Harley is an internationally respected singer‑songwriter and one of the UK’s finest slide‑guitar players. Known for his spellbinding command of the Weissenborn and lap‑steel, he has carved out a distinctive place in the world of Americana, blues, and folk, blending technical mastery with raw, human storytelling.

Born in Wales and raised in Surrey, Harley has spent over two decades touring the world and releasing a series of acclaimed albums recorded in the UK, Texas, and Nashville. His music is defined by warm, lived‑in vocals, finely crafted songwriting, and a slide‑guitar style that is both soulful and cinematic — a sound praised by The Guardian as “spellbinding.”

Harley’s collaborations include celebrated double‑bassist Daniel Kimbro and Americana songwriter Sam Lewis, with whom he has developed a rich, transatlantic musical chemistry. His live performances have taken him to Glastonbury, Union Chapel, the Royal Albert Hall, and stages across Europe, North America, and Australia. His songs have also appeared in international television series including The Vampire Diaries and Banshee.

Whether performing solo or with long‑time collaborators, Martin Harley continues to push the boundaries of acoustic roots music, guided by a deep love of slide guitar and a commitment to honest, emotionally resonant songwriting.
