Inspired by the stories of Valentina Tereshkova (first woman in space) and Valentina Ponomaryova (almost the first woman in space), It is I, Seagull is a hilarious and brutally honest exploration of self-esteem, joy, failure, opera and space travel.
Commenting on mental health in the arts, women's safety and beauty standards, Seagull fuses comedy and opera to challenge and expose how women are often exploited.
