Tutor: Jack Metcalf

Jack has a strong connection to landscapes and the environment and throughout his life has sought out different ways to engage with them. He has studied environmental sciences and travelled widely throughout the world which has fostered his love for nature and landscapes. Like a lot of people during the pandemic he started to take his creative practice more seriously and took up landscape painting with oils and acrylics. He has developed his skills through a sustained period of study at The Classical Art Academy in Southbourne and short courses at AUB and elsewhere. Jack also started and runs a lifedrawing group in Bournemouth and regularly runs art classes in the Bournemouth and Dorset area. Jack is passionate about making Fine Art skills more accessible and particularly enjoys sharing his knowledge about oil and landscape painting.
