A Drypoint printing plate is created by scratching an image into a plate with a pointed tool. The burrs created by this scratching will hold ink during the inking process and when passed through the press will leave a positive image. In this workshop we will learn how to create the plate,  ink it and create the final image.

Joining instructions:

If you would like to bring along an image to work with it should be A5 in size. But we will also have some images that you can work with.

Caroline and Andy Gleeson working as Candleberry Art are artists and crafters using a  variety of mediums including paint, pencil, various forms of printmaking and 3d objects including beasts for street theatre. One of the most satisfying parts of our work is to pass on our skills and enthusiasm by offering workshops a range of art-forms to facilitate
