Craft Class with a Wine Glass – Sea Plastic Art
Sip, relax, and create with purpose in this mindful and inspiring craft workshop. Using sea plastic collected from local Dorset beach cleans, you’ll design a unique framed artwork that reflects the beauty of the coastline while highlighting the importance of sustainability.
You’ll explore the naturally weathered shapes and striking colours of the plastics and learn how to arrange them into a contemporary piece to take home. Each artwork tells a story of the sea, positive action, and creative reuse — making it both meaningful and decorative.
This calm, social session is perfect for unwinding, meeting like-minded people, and enjoying a glass of wine while creating something special.

Tutor: Shelley Perry is a landscape painter based on the Dorset and Hampshire coast, where the sea and surrounding countryside provide constant inspiration. Working exclusively with her hands rather than brushes, Shelley uses acrylic paint to create bold, expressive works that celebrate colour, movement, and the raw beauty of natural coastal landscapes. Her practice is instinctive and process-led, rooted in a freeing and liberating approach to painting that values emotion, energy, and physical connection with the canvas. Each piece is shaped by touch, gesture, and spontaneity, resulting in vibrant, tactile surfaces that reflect both place and experience. Shelley is currently expanding her practice by experimenting with new materials, including spray paints and acrylic inks, further pushing the boundaries of her mark-making. Originally trained as a primary school teacher, Shelley now also runs local art and craft workshops for both adults and children, sharing her passion for creativity, confidence, and playful exploration through art.
