Do you struggle with your balance or worry about your mobility? This is the perfect class for you: a dance-based movement session for the over 60s that encourages mobility and increases balance and stability, all whilst having fun and using varied dance and movement practices. The class has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with the majority of class participants enjoying a cuppa after class in our café!
Balance can be adapted for seated or standing - all variations are challenging enough to make you work on those problem areas.
What you need: Wear comfortable clothes and soft footwear and bring plenty of water.

Tutor: Jenna Hubbard
Jenna is a freelance dance artist and community practitioner. She holds a Master’s Degree in Community Dance from the University of Roehampton, and a first class BA (Hons) Dance and Professional Practice degree from Coventry University. Jenna is also a qualified yoga teacher. Jenna has 15 years’ experience of lecturing in dance in Higher Education and loves nothing more than playing in the studio with people. She has toured with Spiltmilk Dance and worked with Tim Casson, Lily Hayward-Smith and Rosemary Lee. She is a keen improviser and creates performance work with her costume design collaborator, Adele Keeley. Jenna is passionate that dance is for everyone; she works inclusively in her sessions and she will offer variations and translations to suit all. Jenna teaches contemporary release technique, somatic practice, yoga, ballet, dance fitness, choreography and improvisation.
