Join in with a group of artists for a full day of creative figure drawing, sketching and painting. Abstracting the Figure is your chance to explore new and different ways of mark-making and imaginative techniques. Working with a live model* the morning will start with warms ups and experimenting with a variety of approaches, and the freedom to share ideas and techniques. Collaborative group work will be encouraged, with the afternoon providing an opportunity for creating larger pieces of expressive and semi abstract work.
Whether you are experienced or have never drawn the human figure before, you will receive a warm welcome. The sessions will be lead by artist Keith Rogers with the collaboration of all those taking part. We will encourage one another to bring our creativity and inspiration to the group as the day develops.
Please note: The model will be nude.

What you need: Paper will be provided but please bring your own variety of art materials including, pencils, pens, biro, charcoal, chalk and oil pastels. If you are new to drawing we have basic materials.
