Have you ever wished you’d tried ballet when you were younger -or wondered what it might feel like to move with the elegance and musicality of a dancer? It’s never too late to begin.
Our specially designed Silver Swans Ballet classes offer a welcoming, uplifting introduction to ballet for adults of all ages, with a particular focus on those aged 55+. Developed to help improve mobility, posture, balance, coordination and energy levels, these classes blend gentle technique with the joy of moving to beautiful classical music.
Each session is crafted to be kind to the joints, while still offering a satisfying workout that leaves you feeling lighter, stronger and more confident in your body. You’ll learn fundamental ballet movements at a comfortable pace, build core strength and grace, and enjoy the sense of focus and calm that dance can bring.
Whether you’re stepping into the studio for the very first time or returning to dance after many years, you’ll find a friendly atmosphere, expert guidance, and the freedom to explore your own expression.
What to wear: Please wear comfortable clothing and bring plenty of water with you. Ballet shoes are not essential, but make sure to bring some non slippery socks!

Term fee: £66 full term (equates to 11 sessions at discounted rate) or £7 drop

Susan started dance training in Cyprus when she was 3. Having arrived permanently in the UK she studied in Berkshire with Beryl Jarvis & subsequently auditioned for Bush Davis School, East Grinstead where she was taught by Noreen Bush, Joy Camden & Marjorie Davis, studying RAD Ballet alongside National, Character, Modern, Contemporary, Tap, Drama and Music. Susan trained as a ballet teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance & later became an international Examiner. She has had the pleasure of directing community dance companies & provided performances & workshops for a variety of academic & educational institutes, health care & hospitals & large outdoor events such as festivals. Sharing her knowledge she aims to improve the health & wellbeing to adults of all abilities. She is licensed to teach RAD Silver Swans. Susan's ethos is; we can all dance, be it with just the eyes or the hands or by using the whole body. Dance is a language, a therapy & a wonderful way to sustain good physical health & mental wellbeing. For the few like herself it becomes a lifelong career, passion and joy. She is lucky to be able to say this joyful element has filled her life & allowed her to have the privilege to meet & work with some amazing people from all walks of life. Susan loves to teach, share her knowledge & passion. Believing first and foremost it must be fun
