Local history and literature combine in this walk around the Station Road area, illustrated with historic images throughout.

Nick Saunders, a prominent historian, writer and speaker and Chairman of the Milton Heritage Society, will lead this guided walk discussing the creation of the new town of New Milton as a result of the arrival of the railway in 1886, the history of the Water Tower, and the growth of Station Road. We will reflect on the on the bombing of New Milton on 23rd August 1940. The route wil then take us round to the Recreation Ground and the War Memorial before returning to the Memorial Centre for a discussion over coffee of the local literary links to this area.

Meet & Finish at New Milton Memorial Centre, £5 (includes hot drink)
