Art class to do at home! The class will be love on zoom, see below for access info.
You will be shown the works of artists to help you develop your creative understanding. You will use mixed media approaches across a variety of mediums and processes.
What you need: Wear clothes you don't mind making a mess in and your own art supplies listed below. Please also see class access information.
- Any medium, paints, pastels, water colours.
- Black biro
- Sketching pencil (any, HB is fine)
- Rubber and sharpener
Tutor: Lisa Christopher
Lisa is a practicing artist as well as an established art tutor of 18 years. Teaching from secondary level to undergraduate and postgraduate level. Her tutoring is rooted in her own passion to share her knowledge and experience with her students through the use of demonstrations, observation and experimentation. She creates a nurturing workshop environment that also challenges you to get the most possible from her classes - allowing you to develop your own personal approach and style and as well as learning alongside your peers. Her high level of support and resources ensures that her courses and processes are tailored to suit individual students' ideas and themes. Lisa is incredibly engaging and exciting - she enjoys the adventure of such a varied program of classes in a productive and creative studio environment.
Tickets: £10 per week or £60 for full half term two (six weeks: 20 April - 25 May)

Class access information
This class will run live each week via Zoom, an online streaming website. Zoom is an online platform which allows you to talk live to your tutor and classmates via a video or audio call. This class is designed to be progressive, with sessions each week following on from the previous week, helping to build your experience over the course of the class. As this class is live, you will need to be available at the time specified to participate.
To access your class you will need access to a device with an internet connection and speakers – a computer, laptop, phone or tablet should do the job. If you would like to be able to talk with your tutor via audio your device will also need a microphone. If you would like to speak with your tutor via video your device will also need a camera.
Prior to the start date of your class our team will be in touch via email. We will confirm the email address you have used to create your Zoom account so we can add you to the class. We will also send you detailed instructions via email to help you log into your online class.
