Grainne is a mum of three based in Poole, Dorset. She has always had a strong interest in arts and crafts and has had many creative hobbies including, mosaics, stained glass, garden design and jewellery making. She is passionate about British wildlife and the coast where she lives and this is often reflected in her work.

Grainne originally trained as a psychiatric nurse but after the birth of her third child in 2011 she felt the need to improve her work life balance. She sought a new challenge that would allow her to use her creative skills whilst working around the needs of a young family.

Working from a purpose-built studio in her garden, Grainne specialises in using silver clay, creating precious keepsake jewellery and one of a kind silver pretties. She has an Etsy shop where she sells her creations and a website which is very much a work in progress.

Over the last ten years her business has grown, which has allowed her to develop and learn new skills and challenge her creativity. She enjoys nothing more than creating bespoke and one of a kind pieces alongside a range of precious keepsake jewellery. She often uses traditional silver smithing skills alongside precious metal clay.

Grainne offers a wide variety of one day jewellery making workshops at various locations throughout Dorset and the UK, she also teaches the silver clay short course at The Arts University Bournemouth.

She feels exceptionally lucky to be able to share her knowledge and passion for this wonderful medium.
