Hair Updo Short Course

This hair course will enable you to learn different and easy techniques to create hair up styles, and will provide you with a good introduction on different and easy looks.

Kerri specialises in working with long hair, and creating hair up dos and styles that can be worn everyday. This is for people that have an interest in trendy modern looks or for parents who want to learn how to create practical updo's on their children.

As part of this workshop, you will learn hair preparation, rope twist, fishtail plaits, waterfall braids, buns, and fashion plaits using two and three stand plaits. The tutorials will give a step by step guide on trendy and easy to do hair up styles. All sessions will be fun and enjoyable!

Week one: 2 March

Tutorial on hair preparation, creating a variety of 2 and three stem plaits including fish tail plait/rope twists.

Week two: 9 March

French and Dutch plaits and twisted ponytails. Hairstyles including ponytails, bows, crown braids and stacked braids.

Week three: 16 March

Hairstyles including ponytails, bows, crown braids and stacked braids.

Week four: 23 March

Hair buns, crown buns

Session: Wednesday 2 - 23 March, 1pm - 2pm

Ticket: £20 for four weeks / £5 per week

Tutor: Kerri Wilcox:

Kerri has had a flair for hair since she was a young girl, she has carried her passion through to college gaining her Level 1 - 4 NVQs. She has worked in the hair industry for over 20 years as a professional stylist, creating many different looks and making many people feel and look special. She has participated in many hair competitions in London to widen her knowledge of hairstyles.

After gaining her degree in teaching and gaining her Assessors Award, she carried on to achieve her QTLS and Kerri’s artistic reach has expanded well beyond the salon and into the teaching world currently teaching at Arnewood School: Teaching Level 1 - 2 GCSE Hairdressing Skills to ages 12 - 16.

She enjoys the opportunity to share her experience and the love of her profession to others. Her expertise is plaiting and uses many techniques to create a variety of hair up styles.

Block head, combs, section clips, hair bands, hair grips, hair pins
