Tom Davies, guitarist/singer-songwriter from Hampshire, is the band leader of Tom Davies & The Bluebirds formed in 2019.
The band is a 3 piece blues rock power trio with Si Davis on bass and Tom Preston on drums. Si, a seasoned musician has been a bassist performing for over 40 years. Tom Preston has worked with Tom Davies since the inception of the band. This year the band will be performing nationally at select venues. Last April the band returned to Ireland to perform with other Irish blues rock bands including Eric Bell from Thin Lizzy, to support the Gary Moore memorial statue fundraiser concert.
The band performs blues rock originals & covers. Tom and the Bluebirds have been described as mesmerising with Tom’s instinctive and intuitive guitar solos. His feel for the blues is way beyond his years. Their musical influencers include: Bluesbreakers, BB King, Allman Brothers, Jimi
Hendrix, Gary Moore, and Led Zeppelin to name a few.
Laurence Henderson carries the flame for classic, guitar-driven blues-rock. Born to an Orchestral Double Bassist and a Violin Teacher, Laurence was honing his musical skills from birth and would go on to discover the likes of Joe Bonamassa, Jeff Beck, Led Zeppelin, Eric Johnson and Sting.
Within two years of picking up the guitar, he was giving live performances to halls and venues in his local Southampton area, his technical ability evident from the first day. By the time he reached his mid-twenties, he wanted to be more than just a ‘local guitar hero’ – honing his songwriting through a variety of different influences.

Our Green Room Live nights are Pay What You Decide, because we know that everyone’s situation is different and for many the last couple of years has been tough.
We want anyone to feel able to take a chance on trying something new and seeing if it’s for you. If this applies to you, we just ask you to contribute the equivalent of a cup of tea or coffee. Otherwise, we’d like to invite you to consider how much you’re able to pay to support local live music: the income we make enables us to continue these nights long into the future.
We’re asking you to decide this on booking this year to avoid handling cash or creating queues in the venue, but if you enjoy the show and want to make an additional donation as you leave, we have donation boxes and a contactless donation point in the foyer and bar:
- £2.50: taste it and see – the average price of a cup of tea or coffee
- £5: average price usually paid at previous Green Room Live gigs – a good contribution]
- £10: our recommended ticket price for great value and a warm feeling of supporting live music
- £15: average ticket price for all our gigs
- £50: average price for a big stadium gig
