Green Room Live is back! Enjoy one of our live music nights this autumn, as we bring you the best talent from across the local region.

Connor Selby is a rising British star in the traditions of Eric Clapton and Peter Green, who has already performed with his band at Wembley Stadium, at the age of 22, at the behest of The Who.

Voted the Young Artist of the Year in the 2020 and 2021 UK Blues Awards, the young bandleader-guitarist-vocalist draws on influences as diverse as Eric Clapton, B.B. King, Ray Charles, Free and Nick Drake, creating a soulful blend of hard-hitting blues and emotional, introspective song writing, which, at times, evokes a modern take on the best of the British blues boom of the 1960s.

Connor has recently recorded a self-titled album at Masterlink studios, due for release later this year, featuring Redtenbacher's Funkestra, a house band of world class musicians with a CV's to prove it (think Elton John, David Bowie, Annie Lennox, Jack Bruce etc). This release should further cement Connor's reputation as one of our brightest young talents; a talent who has already garnered invitations to tour with not only with legendary Bluesman John Mayall but also a UK stadium tour with the aforementioned The Who.

Tickets: Pay what you decide!

Our Green Room Live nights are Pay What You Decide because we know that everyone’s situation is different and for many, the last couple of years have been tough. We want anyone to feel able to take a chance on trying something new and see if it’s for you. If this applies to you, we just ask you to contribute the equivalent of a cup of tea or coffee. Otherwise, we’d like to invite you to consider how much you’re able to pay to support local live music: the income we make enables us to continue these nights long into the future.

We’re asking you to decide on booking this year, to avoid handling cash or creating queues in the venue, but if you enjoy the show and want to make an additional donation as you leave, we have donation boxes and a contactless donation point in the foyer and bar.

£2.50 – taste it and see – the average price of a cup of tea or coffee

£5 - the average price usually paid at previous Green Room Live gigs, [a good contribution]

£10 – our recommended ticket price [for great value and a warm feeling of supporting live music]

£15 - average ticket price for all our gigs

£50 - the average price for a big stadium gig
