Fringe Friday #3: Tania Edwards & Jack Barry

Tania Edwards

Comedian and writer Tania Edwards has been involved in ‘Stand Up For The Week’, ‘Twit of the Year’ (Channel 4), ‘Mock the Week’, ‘Après Ski’ (BBC2), and ‘The Unbelievable Truth’ (Radio 4).

Edwards was a finalist in the Hackney Empire, Amused Moose, Leicester Square, Latitude and Funny Women competitions. She recently supported Katherine Ryan on her sell out tour, whilst her own solo tour ‘Tania Edwards: Electrifying’ was one of James Acaster’s top comedy picks for The Guardian.

‘Akin to a female Simon Evans… a bit posh and something of a sociopath… fantastically seamy side to the material… also great with audience banter… sublime… brilliant.’ Chortle

Jack Berry

Jack Barry is probably the only stand up on the circuit with a degree in Chinese. What a waste. After working his way around the stand up and sketch circuits, performing at nights for CKP, Knock 2 Bag, The Invisible Dot and the BBC Comedy Tent in Edinburgh, Jack then went on to support James Acaster on the UK tours of Edinburgh Award-nominated shows Prompt (2012), Lawnmower (2013), and Recognise (2014). He can also be seen on James Acaster’s web series Sweet Home Lahnsteineringa, and his recent television appearances include Catastrophe (Channel 4).

“An inventive flourish behind his likeable banter… a distinctive wit that should make him one to watch.” Chortle
