Forest's Young Company (8-13 years) (Autumn 21)

Mystery, magic and mayhem all await at Forest’s Young Company!

During the course, learn the skills to devise and explore a range of characters and situations. It's a chance to create, explore and use your imagination, as well as build your confidence and communication skills, meet new friends and have fun. If you love acting then this is the class for you. We will use The Grimm Fairy Tales as a stimulus to create our own original piece of drama - the possibilities for our story telling are endless!

For ages 8-13.

Tutor: Olivia Murphy

Olivia Murphy is a highly skilled and experienced teacher with over 10 years of working in secondary schools, youth theatres and community settings. Two years ago Olivia formed her own company, Olivia Murphy Actors Company and currently delivers workshops to adults with learning disabilities, play readings in care homes as well as workshops to children and young people. Her workshops are designed to explore drama in a supportive and inclusive environment whilst enhancing mental well being.

After her degree in Drama and Theatre Studies at University of Surrey, Roehampton, Olivia trained as an actor at the London Academy of Performing Arts. Acting work in TIE productions followed as well as performing in and producing a production of ‘Feiffer’s People’ at The Old Red Lion, Islington. More recently Olivia has performed in productions at The Egg Theatre in Bath, The Rondo Theatre in Bath and Theatre Royal Bath. She has also worked on screen in short films and features films for independent film companies.

Sessions: six week term from Monday 13 September - 18 October, 5.15pm - 6.30pm
