Folk Orc in the Forest – Workshop

Folk Orc in the Forest

Celebrating a decade of Folk Orc at Coda Music Trust

An orchestra of folk musicians, singing and playing a range of traditional instruments, arranging, rehearsing and performing traditional music, and writing original new music under the leadership of Chris Hopgood. Folk Orc began at Coda Music Centre in 2009 and has grown to incorporate regular sessions across the region, a workshop programme at folk festivals everywhere, and inspired an array of wonderful new groups and players to perform nationwide.

With new arrangements, special guests and the boundless enthusiasm of the Folk Orc, this will be a day worthy of 10 years work and play.

Open Workshop Instrument Try-out

With our 20+ selection of instruments including mandolins and banjos, bodhrans and fiddles, we invite you to come and have a go. We’ll show you around your chosen instrument and teach you a song or two!

Everyone is welcome, but booking is essential.

The afternoon is free to attend but voluntary donations to Coda Music Trust are welcome.
