This workshop will give you the opportunity to play with a range of watercolour techniques which can be used to enhance your work in this medium. Resist techniques including masking fluid, tape, film and wax will be covered. We will also look at colour lifting methods and a few ideas that don’t fit entirely into this category but are too good to leave out. We are aiming to give you the opportunity to explore watercolour in ways you may not have thought of before and to find out about the way that different pigments interact, by experimentation.
Joining instructions:
We will supply all materials required, but if you want to bring some of your own watercolours and brushes please do. An apron is a good idea.
Session: 17 January 2025, 10am-4pm
Tickets: £50/£45
Tutors:
Caroline and Andy Gleeson working as Candleberry Art are artists and crafters using a variety of mediums including paint, pencil, various forms of printmaking and 3d objects including beasts for street theatre. One of the most satisfying parts of our work is to pass on our skills and enthusiasm by offering workshops a range of art-forms to facilitate
peoples own creativity through the exploration of materials and techniques.
