Step into nature with movement, breath and dance practitioner Julie Hand as we enjoy a leisurely walk in the forest and explore creative movement inspired by the natural world around us.
You will be guided through gentle breath and movement exercises to open our senses to the sounds, shapes, colours and scents of the forest. And we will draw on the qualities of the four elements, water, air, earth and fire to help us explore expressive movement and create a dance together to celebrate Spring and all that it entails.
We’ll be starting off from the Whitefield Moor car park and exploring the Ober Water Trail which meanders through tree lined paths, across quiet bridges and over open grassland.
With the Spring Equinox still in our sights this will be a relaxed and fun morning to reflect on and embody the balance of nature and its gifts. No experience is necessary.
What to bring: You are invited to bring along something to sit on in case the ground is wet. Notepads and pens will be provided to allow you to journal your thoughts and movement ideas as we walk.
What to wear: Please wear comfortable clothing that you can move in freely and be mindful of the weather with appropriate footwear and clothing.
Session: 28 March 2025 10am-12:30pm
Where to meet: We will meet at Whitefield Moor Car park, Rhinefield Road, Nr Brockenhurst SO42 7QD. There are toilets on site and (usually) a refreshments van.
