Make a simple felt flower brooch with hand embroidery in this fun and relaxing workshop with step-by-step guidance suitable for all levels.

Choose your own colour pallet and learn folk style hand embroidery techniques whilst creating a gorgeous Scandinavian inspired floral brooch that can be kept and treasured or given to your loved one as a gift. Once you have learnt the basics of this fun craft, you will be able to create endless styles and combinations of flower brooches for your friends and family.

Materials are included but please feel free to bring your own embroidery needles and scissors if you prefer. Optional extras can be made available to purchase on the day, such as extra materials to keep making at home or as a kit-style gift for a friend.

This session is fun and social and includes a free glass of wine or soft drink.

Sarah Appleton graduated in 2016 from the Textiles course at the Arts University Bournemouth with a specialism in hand stitch. Since graduating, she has exhibited her work in London, North Wales, Birmingham and across Dorset and also takes on bursaries and private commissions.

Sarah has several years worth of experience teaching craft workshops and has a passion for all things eco-friendly and thinking up creative ways of reusing materials. Along with sewing and embroidery, Sarah's interests include printing, crochet, photography, and her cat, James!
