Autumn 19 - Balance

16 Sep - 9 Dec (no session w/c beginning 28 October)

A dance-based movement session for the over 60s that encourages mobility and increases balance and stability whilst having fun and using varied dance genres.

Do you struggle with you balance or worry about your mobility? This is the perfect class for you. The class can be adapted for seated or standing although the movement is challenging enough to make you work on those problem areas.

The class has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with majority of class particpants enjoying a cuppa after class in our cafe.

What to wear and what to bring?

Comfy clothes and soft footwear if desired and plenty of water!

Tutor: Lauren Cooper

Dancing has been a passion of Lauren's since the age of 3. Since then she has continued that passageway through teaching and sharing her enjoyment of dance with others.

After attaining a BTEC National Diploma at college level, she decided to continue her education at Winchester University and gained her BA (Hons) Degree in Dance & Performing Arts.

She currently teaches a variety of Dance styles and Drama classes to a range of different ages varying from toddlers to adults in several dance establishments, primary schools, and nurseries throughout Bournemouth, Poole and Hampshire.
